Usual disclaimers. Also, this is quick, but can start a fire.
I used a stainless saucepan for this experiment. Not because I’m against non-stick, just something I had on hand.
Heat the skillet on high. Dump in ham (I’m still working on Chinese cured ham, but bacon, probably, will work as well.) Throw in an onion and spices. In a minute, when some fat is rendered, break up some spaghetti. Mix it and burn. When real smoke starts coming out, pour some water in. I can’t time it, just taste a strand of pasta and add more water, in small splashes. That’s it.
P.S. I learned about burned pasta method from an Armenian friend. He was quite intoxicated at the time.
