I suspect that I’ll be in some sort of very special hell for this.
Start boiling water. Dump a few garlic cloves, a quarter of an onion, black peppercorns, and abovementioned super salty cured ham. When it’s boiling, throw in seven dumplings and cook till they float. Fish the tasty bits out and pour the soup over it. I’ll make hot and sour soup out of this bouillon later. Will let you know.
